Get ready for a day of impact!

Empire State Ride Long Island is taking place on Saturday, July 22 in Oyster Bay. Here’s everything you need to know about the event.

Start times.

Please allow at least 30 minutes to check in, check out our vendors – including free bike checks from Trek – and get ready to ride. There will be a Nassau County Police Department escort up West Shore Road, so you will want to depart on time.

62-mile route

Start time: 7:30 a.m

25-mile route

Start time: 9 a.m

10-mile route

Start time: 10 a.m

Ride with
GPS app.

You can download and navigate the routes with turn by turn directions via the Ride with GPS app. Download Ride with GPS for free here and be sure to download the route you are signed up to ride (10, 25 or 62 miles).

Rest stops.

Each of the routes have rest stops along the way for you to refuel with cold beverages and snacks. Be sure to stop at the rest stops at Centre Island (10 mile route), Tappan Beach (62 mile route) & Brookville Church (25 & 62 mile routes). Bathroom facilities are also available at all three locations.

Additional information.

Join us starting at 7 a.m. for bagels and coffee! Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your designated start time to allow time to check-in, visit our partner tents for awesome perks and giveaways including a complimentary bike check from Trek, and get ready to ride.

Check-in is located at the historic post office brick patio across from the bandstand at 1 Shore Avenue, Oyster Bay. Bring your barcode at check-in to receive everything you need to ride, including your rider wristband, goodies bag and more.

Additionally, there will be a brief opening ceremony before each ride departs. The program is a reminder of the impact we are making through Empire State Ride Long Island.

Parking.

Please use the parking lot at Beekman Beach in Oyster Bay.

Safety.

This event will take place rain or shine so dress for the weather. If a severe weather pattern arises, the ESR Long Island team will notify riders. Safety is our number one priority, please review our safety guidelines before hopping on your bike.

Follow traffic laws.

You’ll be riding on open roads, so follow the rules of the road. Stay on the shoulder when available or to the extreme right side of the road to allow cars to pass.

After Riding: Oyster Bay Street Fair!

Join the Oyster Bay Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Association from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the start/finish line!

Area businesses will line the streets with food, live music by local classic rock and roll band Crisis and School of Rock, and family fun activities and games. The heart of historic Oyster Bay will be filled with ESR Long Island & Street Fair partners with Audrey Avenue between Spring and South Streets closed to vehicular traffic. Visitors can cheer on riders as they finish their ride through Oyster Bay.
